Delivery day is one of my favorite! The wedding album arrived for one of my dear clients, Samantha & TJ, who were married recently. It's such a lovely way to wrap up the wedding photography experience, by delivering the most special of keepsakes from their special day. I hope it will be a treasure for decades to come.
My Dad and his wife, Kim, have a beautiful place out in the country where we celebrate the Fourth of July. It's everything you'd expect from country living; spaciousness, stillness, and rich colors that seem to drip off every surface. It's also thick with the powdery red dirt of Northern California, but refreshed by sprinklers, humming fans, and sweaty glasses of iced tea.
This is where tradition with Dad, Kim, and family resides, tucked back in the walnut orchards.
We toasted Gramma whose birthday was on the Fourth of July (and who thought as a little girl the fireworks were just for her…I love that story), we celebrated Dad & Kim's wedding anniversary (the second of many to come), and took turns snuggling with the newest little sweetness in the family. It was a fun day!
...and so has my first blog post! Life is full of newness right now and I'm SOOO excited! There are blossoms in our backyard, kittens just days old snuggling with their momma, and the countdown is on until my niece will be born (56 days until due date, but who's counting, right?).
Creating a blog post is also new, new to Kelly Jensen Photography, so I'm taking the plunge…but just in the shallow end to familiarize myself with all the bells and whistles of blogging ;) I hope you will jump on board and follow my work. Through my posts, I hope to detail shoots, collaborations, inspirations, personal projects, and introduce you to other artists, businesses, and friends whose work I've admired or discovered along the way. I hope to bring these loves to life with photography but also encompass a sort of reference of things that have inspired me along the way, whether it is through relationships, family, friendships, food, words, locations, events, nature, etc.
Ah, newness is in the air, it is Spring, and I'm excited for this journey.
